Hair loss

Hair loss can be devastating to most people especially women. It is part of normal life and living without it can be a nightmare. The hair lasts for more than six years and a normal person sheds about one hundred strands of hair daily. When you notice that you are shedding too much hair, you should seek help. You could be having internal or external problems. These can lead to premature balding which is not a good thing to anyone. You should look for treatment and give yourself time to recover from the problem.

Common causes of hair loss

• The food you eat determines the health of your hair. You should take healthy foods to keep your hair strong. You hair is always growing and you must take enough nutrients to keep it in the right condition. Foods like vegetables and whole grains are essential to avoid hair loss. Prevention is better than cure; follow a healthy eating habit and your hair will remain strong.

Take enough proteins to maintain your hair. A single hair strand is made of three different proteins. They are the elastin, collagen and keratin; and if your body lacks the proteins, the hair will start breaking. Make sure that you include proteins in your diet.

• If you use too many chemicals on your hair, you may lose it. Do not go for the latest hair styles without stopping to consider the effect they will cause to your hair. Make sure that your hair is handled by someone who is professionally trained. Use of perm and bleaching chemicals can cause hair loss if done in the wrong way. You should make sure that you give your hair some time to recover once you realize its breaking. Avoid stressful hair designs and do the essential treatments to the damaged hair. With time, the hair grows back looking healthy.

• Hair loss can be caused by health conditions such as alopecia. This is a scalp condition that makes bald. You can consult a dermatologist who can give you techniques and medication to help your hair grow again. Other health conditions like diabetes can also cause hair loss. You should get treated and the hair breaking will stop.

• Taking plenty of water ensures that you remain healthy. This is also essential for your hair which can not thrive in a dehydrated body. You hair remains strong when you function properly without any health problems. Water is important and ensures that you remain healthy. There are nutrients that come from water and they keep your hair mist which prevents breaking.

• Hair is a major part of the body. It is also one of the most growing organs of your body. Vitamins ensure that these growing organs which include hair, nail and skin remain healthy. You hair can break if you lack vitamins in your body. If you are losing your hair, try to check your vitamin intake. This is one of the reasons why most people experience loss of hair.
